Meet gorgeous Roger! Roger is a three year old boy found stray wearing a harness and leash. We were positive his owner would come looking for him, but no one did. The word that describes him inside and out is lovely. Like the true Rottweiler, Roger will at first be neutral, but once he warms up (treats speeds the process lol) he is both friendly and obedient.

When we first met him at the shelter, Roger was at the front of his kennel with soft eyes and a neutral body. He was easy to secure, staying in place as we leashed him. Once leashed he was somewhat timid and needed some encouragement before walking out on his own. He's a big boy and pulls minimally to moderately on leash so his adopter will need to do some practice with him on leash skills. Once in the yard, Roger immediately peed and walked around sniffing. He was tolerant of us touching all over him and allowed us to remove his harness Once removed he relieved himself again and walked around curiously. He kept his body neutral with a low tail but saw a dog through the fence. He gave mid to high level wags with soft eyes as they sniffed each other. Roger showed us his repertoire of sit, paw, and down during our visit. He was very easy to handle and gave us no issues with returning to his kennel.

While with Kodi's Club, he has been simply wonderful and consistently well behaved. Any reactivity has been non-existent and he is a volunteer favorite. Roger is 125 pounds and quite strong. He will need a Rottie experienced family who are willing to continue Obedience with him and be comfortable with his size. If there are children in the home, they need to be 12 or over and not overwhelmed by his size. It's an overused term but he is a gentle giant who doesn't quite understand his size. Cats are unknown.
