Negan is an 11 month old stunning boy who belonged to a veteran. We were contacted for help because the veteran's health is failing so Negan is no longer able to remain with him. Negan has the nicest temperament, he is eager to be a companion and to love his very own humans. He has shown no aggression, and tries to melt into your arms and provide sloppy kisses. Negan would surely benefit from work on his manners. Due to the vet's limitations, he didn't receive the Obedience he needed, but that can easily be addressed in lessons for this young boy. He can be rambunctious at times, but that is also age appropriate for his breed and age. He doesn't realize that his eager engagement is not always welcome despite how sweet he is!

When Negan came to the rescue, we learned that he had a heart murmur. It was determined that he needed surgery to address the murmur. Negan came through the surgery with flying colors. Long term? The surgeon said that other than forced exercise such as taking him out to a field and playing fetch with him for an hour straight, we can leave his activity up to him. Negan will need to remain on his heart meds and have 6 month check up's. But this boy is ready to roll!

Negan is very enthusiastic in his play with other dogs. We are guessing cats would not be a good idea. He's big, strong, energetic, and doesn't realize his own strength. Older children only with prior experience living with a large dog.
